Ryan Seacrest has been a part of American Idol for more than two decades. While he has remained a constant part of the show, he himself is not above changing here and there. Recently, on social media, Seacrest shared a throwback with fans where he looked almost unrecognizable. Notably, Seacrest was also reuniting with an American Idol alum.

Ryan Seacrest Recently Had An American Idol Reunion

Ryan Seacrest has been part of American Idol since its 2002 premiere, becoming the sole host after its first year. Notably, over the years, Seacrest has had hosting duties on other shows, including Wheel of Fortune and a few syndicated radio programs.

Seacrest recently reunited with an American Idol alum. Sharing the post on social media, Seacrest also looked noticeably different from how fans usually think of him now.

In the caption, Seacrest wrote, “Crazy to think the first time I met [Grace Leer] was on American Juniors—and now she’s gone from a Top 10 #Idol contestant to a star. She had some great advice for the next wave of talent chasing their dreams… and Hollywood Week is where those dreams start. Tune in now, West Coast!”

In the first photo, Seacrest was noticeably sporting blonde locks instead of his more familiar darker hair. Added to that, he was dressed rather casually, donning a dark red T-shirt, for someone now known for his rather clean-cut and well-groomed appearance.

The second photo showed Seacrest looking more like how fans are accustomed to seeing him, as he reunited with an adult Leer. This was followed with two video clips of Seacrest chatting Leer, complete with a clip of her time back on American Idol.

Fans Shared Their Own Reactions To Seacrest’s Trip Down Memory Lane

Back in 2003, Leer had appeared on American Juniors. This American Idol spin-off featured younger contestants and, unlike the parent show, focused on creating a singing group rather than a single winner.

Following American Juniors, Leer then appeared on American Idol itself during Season 18. During this season, Leer ultimately made it to the Top 11, not receiving enough votes to get into the Top 7.

In addition to sharing the post on her own page, Leer herself also wrote, “Wowww, the memories! So grateful for American Juniors and Idol opening up doors for me! And Ryan you’re just the best.”

Leer, as noted in her comments, still has more music to share with fans. As noted on her website, “A multi-talented singer, songwriter, actress, model, and athlete, Grace heads into 2025 with more music to release another EP in the works, and perhaps more filmmaking, stay tuned. Leer is signed with Red Light Management and UTA.”

Fans also took to the comments of the post to share their own reaction to how much Seacrest has changed over the years. In addition, many also touched on Leer’s music. Some comments included:

“Yaaaas, your frosted tips Ryan!! Hahah you’re very handsome Ryan & Grace you’re beautiful!!! Best of luck! Go girl.”
“Adorable photo Ryan of you with blonde hair!”
“Wats crazy is those frosted tips u use to rock cool guy”
“I remember this! I was obsessed with American Juniors growing up!”
“Sir, you don’t age.”
