On the Sunday, May 11 episode, Ryan made a rare confession about his personal life.

Contestant Thunderstorm Artis’ performed his original song Out of the Blue, which was his Mother’s Day tribute to his wife Faith, who was cheering him on in the audience.

After the performance, Ryan walked out with a set of papers and revealed he read the lyrics to the original song.

“It is a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics,” he praised. “I just printed them out backstage.”

He then read the lyrics, “‘Your green eyes are soft like the summer and your touch can put out the embers of my burning heart from that gray December.’

“I’ve never been more depressed to be single than right now in this moment!”

SINGLE STATUS

Ryan has been single since ending his three-year relationship with Aubrey Paige in April 2024.

At the time of their split, the model shared cryptic messages on her social media page.

The writer reposted a quote on a white background that read, “Trust this chapter because God is writing your book.”

The American Idol star and the model first confirmed they were dating in 2021 after they were spotted together at a Memorial Day party in the Hamptons.

They made many public appearances and posted photos on social media during their time together.

Ryan has not been rumored to be in another relationship since their split.

Also on last night’s American Idol, Carrie, 42, and Luke, 48, poked fun at each other in a video.

Sitting on the panel for Disney night, the two country artists were seen having some off-screen fun during an ad break.

“What’s the best thing about working next to me?” Luke asked Carrie.

Carrie then made a motion with her hand where she appeared to be zipping her mouth closed.
