Price Is Right’s host Drew Carey joked that a player must be married as he begged for a win on a difficult game

The Price Is Right’s host, Drew Carey, joked about a player’s marital status as he begged while playing a diffcult game.

During the June 18 episode of the hit CBS game show, player Gregory took to the stage to meet Carey after guessing the nearest retail price of a pizza oven.

Announcer George Gray then revealed he had the chance to win an SUV if he won a game of One Away, which sees a contestant shown the wrong price of a car, with each correct digit one away from each of the wrong digits.

After the contestant attempts to form the price of the car, they learn how many digits are correct by asking the Almighty Sound Effects Lady. If at least one is correct, is given a second and final chance to form the price.

Once Gregory formed his first attempt, Carey explained he had to ask the Almighty Sound Effects Lady how many he had right.

Before he asked her, Gregory got down on his knees and held up his hands, palm to palm, as Carey joked,”Oh this guy’s married.”

The player first asked her if he had one correct digit, and received a honk indicating he did. When he asked if he had two correct, there was silence.

Both Gregory and Carey knew what that meant. The car’s price absolutely started with a “2,” so all he had to do was switch the other four numbers and got the car.

Carey then advised to the audience and viewers at home, “One number right is what you want in that game. If you can have any wrong get all four wrong.”

Gregory’s luck ended there, though, as he didn’t get through to the Showcase round. That honor was left to player’s Hayden and Issa.

Issa passed on a Showcase that included a trip to Nashville, diamond jewelry, and an SUV. Hayden bid $35k on them.

Issa’s Showcase included a TV, hot tub, sauna, and a trailer, for which he bid $42k.

With only a few hundred dollars between the differences in their bids, Hayden walked away victorious.

Carey had another hilarious moment earlier in the episode. A player guessed the exact retail price of smart watch, earning herself $500,

She stormed the stage to bear hug Carey, nearly knocking him down, before telling him where she was from and demanding, “Where’s my money Drew?”

He joked back, “Where’s my money Drew – music to my ears.”

During yesterday’s episode, Carey joked he couldn’t “do the math” while trying to figure out a player’s chances before she made a massive win.

During the June 17 episode, player Claire had the chance to win a sedan if she won a game of Five Price Tags. She exclaimed to Carey that she’d been waiting for this for years.

Claire had to identify the prices of a vacuum sealer, water purifier straw, clock, and stool.

She earned two picks. Before she chose one of the five prizes, she told Carey she had a 40 percent chance of winning. Her first choice was wrong.

The next one, though, was not. With only one more choice, she chose $23,559 and screamed, “I’m done!” when she realized she won.

As she ran to her new car, Carey told the cameras: “So, did she always have a 40 percent chance even after the second chance, or did she only have a 25 percent chance then? And how do you factor in previous knowledge? I don’t know!”
