“NOBODY CAN’T BELIEVE IT!” — THE BIZARRE COLLAPSE THAT FREEZE HARRISON WHITAKER ON ‘JEOPARDY!’, AND THE TRUTH ABOUT THE 80s TV QUESTION THAT MISSED THE AUDIENCE.

Harrison Whitaker (again) wins ‘Jeopardy!’ but misses 1980s TV question. Did you know it?

Jeopardy! champion's surprising royal connection as he enters six-day winning streak

Harrison Whitaker earned his eleventh consecutive victory Tuesday, Nov. 25, on “Jeopardy!” thanks to a fast buzzer finger and his wide breadth of knowledge.

The researcher originally from Terre Haute entered Tuesday’s final round of the popular quiz show with an impressive lead: $19,700 — an amount dwarfing his two other opponents.

A tricky Final Jeopardy question might’ve ended Whitaker’s winning streak. A smart wager by the Indiana native, however, worked out in his favor.

On Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Terre Haute native won “Jeopardy!” playing against challengers Emma Passariello, a naval architecture student from Westbury, New York, and Lyman Howard, a financial advisor from Mill Valley, California.

What was the Final Jeopardy question for Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025?

The Final Jeopardy clue Tuesday, Nov. 25, read: “This spin-off premiered 21 years after the show that inspired it but took place nearly a century later.”

Contestants had 30 seconds to respond.

Howard, in third place with $600 — possibly the only contestant who remembered living in the 80s, joked host Ken Jennings — gave the correct response: “What is ‘Star Trek the Next Generation.’” His wager of $500 increased his score to $1,100.

Passariello was in second place with $2,400. Stumped, she guessed nothing and wagered nothing.

Whitaker entered Final Jeopardy with $19,700. His response of, “I prefer movies! :)” drew a laugh from the audience.

“Fair enough,” Jennings said. “There are “Star Trek” movies though. What did you wager, Harrison?”

A small bet from Whitaker ensured he would “live long, and prosper” another day. He sacrificed only $300 to end the night in first place with $19,400.

Whitaker will appear Wednesday, Nov. 26, on the Alex Trebek stage for a chance at win number 12.
