In this memoir, Priscilla Presley details a “loveless marriage” and the King of Pop’s obsession with his children is exposed to the public. According to Page Six and The Sun, Lisa Marie Presley ‘s mother revealed shocking details in her memoir “Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis” about her daughter’s marriage to Jackson. She declared herself “horrified” by what she witnessed, claiming that Michael Jackson’s childlike innocence was just a carefully constructed mask.

She accused the King of Pop Michael Jackson of manipulation, saying: “He didn’t marry my daughter, he married into the Presley family.”

Despite the child abuse allegations at the time, Lisa Marie reportedly remained convinced of Michael Jackson’s innocence. However, the King of Pop often chose to spend time with children rather than adults at family gatherings.

The memoir further reveals that although Michael Jackson expressed a desire to have children with Lisa Marie, there were still questions about the physical intimacy of their marriage. Lisa Marie Presley’s mother recalled pleading with her daughter to delay marriage. When Lisa Marie finally filed for divorce, she described hearing “a sigh of relief from Elvis.”

In 1993, King of Pop Michael Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy, and he settled with his family for $15.3 million. However, after 18 months of investigation, prosecutors admitted that there was not enough evidence to prove guilt. The following year, in 1994, Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley.
