Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris makes shocking claim against his estate that’s reportedly left family divided

Paris Jackson has filed a lawsuit against the executors of her father’s estate

The daughter of late pop star Michael Jackson has made a legal filing against the managers of her father’s estate.

Paris Jackson, who is herself a multimillionaire, claimed in court papers that the estate’s managers were ‘like the Wizard of Oz’ and demanded trust without providing any substance in return.

But insiders at the family have warned that the only daughter of Michael Jackson has made a misstep in going after the estate managers.

Co-executors John Branca and John McClain were appointed to manage the king of pop’s enormous estate following his death in 2009.

Paris has accused the pair of mishandling funds, in a claim which has caused major controversy in the family, including paying ‘lavish gratuities’ to outside lawyers.

But a family insider and the estate have hit back at the claims.

They told the New York Post: “These are the same people who rescued Michael’s name and made sure his kids were financially secure for life.

“Michael died more than $500 million in debt. The estate not only cleared that, it built a fortune. For her to turn on them now—it’s shocking.”

One family source even suggested that Jackson’s children, including his only daughter Paris, would not have the fortunes they now have if it were not for the way that the estate was managed after his death.

“Michael’s children would never have received what they have now if the executors hadn’t taken bold, sometimes risky, steps. They didn’t just protect the money—they rebuilt a legacy,” said the source.

According to public records, Paris has been a big spender, including buying a number of multi-million pound homes across California.

Not only that, but the records indicate that she would buy a house only to sell it and move on not long afterwards.

One insider said: “She quickly got bored with one house and simply bought another. That’s not the behavior of someone struggling financially.”

Paris alone reportedly received some $65 million from her late father’s estate.

Responding to the claim, the estate attorneys said: “Few have benefited more from the Executors’ business judgment than [Paris] herself.”

They also claimed that were it not for their business decisions in managing Jackson’s estate after his death, the inheritance may not have existed at all.

Paris has previously spoken publicly about her struggles with mental health and addiction, including a suicide attempt aged 15.

She previously told Rolling Stone: “It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore.”
