Ken Jennings shared a rare insight into his personal life on social media.

The Jeopardy! host shared that he and his wife, Mindy Jennings, are celebrating 25 years of marriage. On Saturday, September 20, Ken made an Instagram post about the couple’s 25th wedding anniversary. He posted a selfie of the two smiling in Australia with the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge behind them in the distance.

“I’m not sure where the years went or how I got this lucky, but this marriage is officially 25 years old. It can now rent a car!” Ken captioned the rare photo of him and his wife.

He added, “(This week is also the 25th anniversary of the Sydney Olympics, but that’s not why we’re here. That would be a weird system for planning an anniversary trip).”

Ken and Mindy have been married for 25 years

The couple first met at Brigham Young University, where they attended college. Per a Buzzfeed article, published in 2013, it took Ken nine months to ask Mindy out after disclosing he would to her roommate.

Ken and Mindy got engaged while they were at BYU and graduated together in 2000. They married later that year on September 16.

After graduating, Mindy worked as a preschool teacher. Mindy had majored in theater at the university. There is not much known about Mindy, who hasn’t made public appearances with Ken.

She also doesn’t have any public social media accounts and hasn’t really appeared on Ken’s social media until now. Ken is quite private about his personal life.

The only time Mindy has been documented speaking about Ken and their relationship is in the 2013 Buzzfeed interview.

“He mostly wanted people to know he was funny,” she said to the outlet. “He’s not the type of person who wants you to know he knows everything.”

Ken and Mindy have two children together: son Dylan, born in 2002, and daughter Caitlin, born in 2006. Similar to Mindy, not much is known about Ken’s two children.

But Dylan has appeared a couple of times on his dad’s social media account. In October 2022, Ken posted a photo of Dylan at a baseball game, in which the then-teenager wore a Seattle Mariners jersey and gave a thumbs-up.

The post was captioned, “The last time his team made it to the playoffs, this guy wasn’t born yet. He just started his sophomore year of college. Congrats @Mariners!”

The 51-year-old Jeopardy! Champion posted Dylan once more recently on May 28. It was a selfie of the two of them at a baseball game in white baseball jerseys and Seattle Mariners hat. This time around Dylan’s hair is longer and curlier and he accessorized with Seattle Mariners earrings.

“The lucky Mariners earrings might be heading for an 0-1 start,” Ken captioned the photo.
