The Price Is Right player celebrates after winning car
The Price Is Right’s host, Drew Carey, has had some wild encounters with contestants since taking over for Bob Barker in 2007.
Contestants are encouraged to be as outrageous as they want, but sometimes they go a little overboard, and Carey usually takes the brunt of it.
Whether players of the hit CBS show, which has returned for Season 54, fall to the ground at his feet after losing a game, jump up and down on him after winning, or run around the show’s set in excitement, Carey has seen it all.
Viewers tend to fear for Carey’s well-being, seeing rambunctious contestants manhandle him, but he, like Barker before him, loves it, even if he doesn’t always see it coming.
Now that the hit game show has returned for yet another season that will surely see more wild moments, here’s a look at some of Carey’s wildest moments with contestants.

During March 31’s episode, Carey was struck nearly speechless after a player chose to celebrate winning a massive prize by doing several back flips on stage.
On the April 18 All Cash Friday episode of the hit CBS game show, player Sabrina fell to the ground after she won $26,000 in total on the wheel. She later ran around in excitement after winning her Showcase round.
A few days later, during the April 21 episode, player Elsa wildly jumped on model Devin Goda after winning a 2025 Volkswagen Jetta Sport on a game of Hole in One, one of the hardest games on the show.
Elsa ran towards the car and jumped into Goda’s arms, screaming “Oh my God!” as the model stumbled back a bit in surprise at the force of her hug.
During the May 21 episode, player Alexander got extremely excited when he guessed the nearest retail price of a fire pit. He practically ran to the stage to give Carey a bear hug that pretty much turned into a headlock.
He played an easy game of Side By Side to win a trip to Alaska and succeeded, only to jump up and down on Carey once again.
Carey joked, “Don’t go to Alaska,” before Alexander jumped on him a third time in excitement.

Carey has once again been manhandled by an over-the-top contestant, only days later, during the Memorial Day episode.
Player Steven excitedly jumped up and down and began shouting after he guessed the nearest retail price of a new TV.
When he got to the stage, he gave Carey a massive hug that nearly knocked him over, and got even more rambunctious when announcer George Gray revealed he had the chance of winning a trip to Cozumel if he won a game of Flip Flop.
After winning, the contestant jumped up and down and yelled again before jumping off the stage to give presenter James O’Halloran a big hug. He then looked to the audience and began jumping with his arms pointed high above his head.
Days later, a player fell over and onto Carey after winning a game of Side by Side.
Months later, during the July 7 episode, players called down were returning after being outbid by one dollar on Contestants Row in previous episodes.
However, when Angela was called down, she yelled, “Redemption!” in Carey’s face.

The contestant revealed that Carey had said something to her after being outbid by one particular player previously.
“What did I say?” Carey asked, before Angela yelled, “Because I screamed at the guy who bid a dollar, and you said that was an honest reaction,” as she screamed in demonstration.
“Well, she screams like that for a dollar, I can’t wait to see what she screams for when she sees this,” Carey joked after being screamed in the face.
A week later, player Kate screamed and booked it to the stage, where she came charging at Carey, who was stunned as she nearly knocked him down with a bear hug.
Kate then fell to the ground, with her arms above her head, and her knees buckled under her. When she stood up, Carey asked her what she did for a living.
