“Two and a half minutes. We met and shortly after we moved in together. I’m instinctive, I like to make decisions very quickly. It’s not necessarily right, that’s my limit. In this case, fortunately, it was. After so many years of working together, when you’re husband and wife, it’s not easy, but I think the age difference worked in our favor in the end. We have the same character, we’re both passionate and hot-headed, and I’m sure that if we were the same age, we would have created sparks. Today, however, he’s the more tolerant and patient one. I’m like a pressure cooker,” Veronica said.

Veronica Berti and the special memory of Andrea Bocelli

Living next to Andrea Bocelli and working with him, Veronica Berti had the opportunity to see him sing all over the world. However, there is a special moment that Berti will always carry in her heart and it is linked to the years in which Matteo, the artist’s son, attended kindergarten.

“I’ve seen him perform all over the world, but I’ll always remember the morning he went to sing at his son Matteo’s kindergarten. I casually touched his hands and they were freezing. ‘I can’t believe you’re afraid to sing at your son’s kindergarten?’ I said, teasing him a little. I’ll always remember his response. He told me ‘Children don’t know who you are, you have to reach their heart at the first try, and you can only do that with sincere emotion’” , Bocelli’s wife said.
