Serena Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, expressed his joy and pride after receiving a sweet, heartfelt surprise from his daughters Olympia and Adira. The tech entrepreneur took to social media to reveal the thoughtful gesture, calling himself “the luckiest guy.”
Serena Williams’ Little Ones Create Touching Moment for Dad
The 42-year-old father of two is no stranger to doting on his family, often sharing glimpses into his life as a hands-on dad. His recent social media post featured a homemade pie from his daughters, complete with an endearing handwritten note signed by seven-year-old Olympia and Adira, who will turn two next month.
The note, carefully written in a child’s hand, read: “To: Papa, from: Olympia and Didi.” Another page carried a loving message: “For you, I made myself, I hope you like it! I miss you and I love you, Olympia, Didi.”
In response to the surprise, Ohanian captioned his post: “I’m the luckiest guy.”
Ohanian Voices Concerns for Daughters Olympia and Adira Amid Rise of Artificial Intelligence
Ohanian spoke about the growing importance of emotional intelligence in an AI-driven world. As a devoted father, he said he’s focused on teaching his daughters, Olympia and Adira, the uniquely human traits that machines can’t replicate.
In a post on X, the tech entrepreneur emphasized the value of knowledge beyond AI’s reach, noting that as technology handles more tasks, people may have more time for life’s gentler pursuits.
“The world we’re entering now is one where thankfully raw intelligence is gonna be commoditized. The things that are gonna matter, the things I care about teaching my kids are less about capital I intelligence. Again that’s gonna be a commodity. You’re gonna be able to find the answer for anything. You’re gonna have a PhD level brain at your beck and call whenever you have a question about something,” Ohanian said.
“I want to make sure that she (his kids) understands and has agency, that she has a kind of creativity, that she has a kind of empathy. That emotional intelligence, I think, exactly going to be a lot more valued. Taste is going to be even more valuable. There are still going to be realms where humans will need to be excellent,” he added.
The 42-year-old continued: “I am excited for that, because I actually think a lot of those things are the things that kind of make life more enjoyable as far as I am concerned. And if we have now we never to delegate a sort of raw horsepower and intelligence to an AI, I actually think it gives us more time to do things that make us more human.”
