‘Price Is Right’ Drew Carey Welcomes Back Familiar Face

Fans of The Price Is Right know hosts like Drew Carey and Bob Barker quite well. However, the show is made up of multiple people, including announcers, models, and audience members, in addition to contestants. Recently, Drew Carey welcomed someone back to the show that some fans might remember.

The Price Is Right Welcomed Back A Member Of The CBS Family Who Has A History With The Show

Drew Carey first took on hosting duties on the show back in 2007. Beforehand, The Price Is Right was famously hosted by the late Bob Barker, who hosted the show since its debut.

Usually, Carey shares the stage with a team of models who help showcase the show’s games. Usually, only one or two are featured in most episodes.

As noted by Monsters & Critics, the current line-up includes Rachel Reynolds, Amber Lancaster, Alexis Gaube, Manuela Arbelaez, Devin Goda, and James O’Halloran. However, during an episode airing April 7, the show brought on a familiar guest model.

Actress and singer Karla Mosley was welcomed onto the set. Over the years, Mosley has had a prominent career in soaps, notably appearing on Guiding Light and The Bold and the Beautiful. More recently, she joined the series, Beyond the Gates as Dani Dupree, making her appearance on The Price Is Right a crossover for the CBS family.

That said, this isn’t Mosley’s first time on the show, let alone as a model. She had actually been a model on the game show back in 2014. As the publication noted, she appeared in 14 episodes during her original tenure.

In sneak peeks, Mosley promoted the new CBS daytime drama. As she shared, “Yeah, I’m here with Beyond the Gates, a new show.” She mused, “Maybe you’ve been watching; it’s on every day on CBS.”

Carey asked if Mosley’s character was naughty or nice. Mosley confessed, “My character is not always nice.” However, Carey took this with good humor, joking, “Oh, good! Who wants a nice character on a soap?”

According to the teaser, Mosley would be part of the show’s entire episode. Another clip had the guest model appear with a Beyond the Gates poster. Announcer George Gray also welcomed her, saying, “Please welcome back Karla Mosley!” In turn, Mosley shared, “Thanks, George! Well, prepare to immerse yourself in the glamor and luxury you’ll experience Beyond the Gates.”

Mosley highlight some of the show’s prizes. As she noted, “My character, Dani Dupree, is a rebellious former model who gave up her career for love. So, I know she’d love this professional camera and lighting package.”

For the time being, it appears that Mosley will only appear in the one episode for the week. However, she could always appear again.

Notably, the game show also promoted the appearance with a video of Mosley playing “This or That.” Touching on her work as a soap star, Mosley chose characters coming “back from the dead” over “love triangles” and “evil twins” over “long-lost children.”
