Drew Carey Shocks Taylor Tomlinson With NSFW Rant About Phish On ‘After Midnight’: “It’s Like Being Edged For Four Days Straight”
After Midnight host Taylor Tomlinson got just what she asked for when she requested Drew Carey say something on camera as if he “weren’t being filmed right now.”
Carey did not hold back as he delivered a passionate and overtly sexual rant about his experience seeing the band Phish perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The Price is Right host even went so far as to walk in front of his podium to address the audience directly, much to the surprise of Tomlinson.
“So, I saw Phish at the Sphere this weekend. Never saw Phish, didn’t know a Phish tune, and they …blew my mind off so hard,” he said.
He gave no indication of where this bit was heading as he continued, “I had a bunch of girls with me, and I thought to myself is this what it’s like to—.” The rest of his sentence was bleeped out as his commentary suddenly took a sexual turn. The audio later picked back up as he described his experience seeing Phish in concert.
“It was like being edged for four days straight,” Carey said. “And then right before the face-melting climax at the end of the fourth day, an angel comes down from heaven, Gabriel, and he shoots [expletive] heroin in your arm, and he says, ‘Good luck now [expletive]!’ And he leaves, and you have an orgasm for 15 minutes while your eyeballs fall out of your head!”
Carey’s impassioned tirade even made Tomlinson’s jaw drop.
Even Carey’s fellow After Midnight contestant “Weird Al” Yankovic wondered, “Why did they let Carey talk?”
Reno 911 star Thomas Lennon also chimed in once Carey’s rant concluded as he joked, “HR wants to talk to all of you.”
Tomlinson then sarcastically joked that Carey’s words would definitely make it to air. “That was so great, and we can definitely use all of it, absolutely, absolutely we can. And I don’t want you guys to take my next sentence as any indication that we can’t use it,” she said, before turning to Carey and asking him, “Oh, you’d like to pass? That’s OK.”
She then asked Lennon a question, pretending to segue away from Carey in a way that they could edit his comments out of the final cut.
Fans of the Price is Right host may not be so surprised by Carey’s shockingly passionate feelings about the band.
He shared a similarly NSFW post on X Monday (April 22) morning where he wrote, “I swear I just talked to God I would give you all my money, stick my dick in a blender and swear off pussy for the rest of my life in exchange for this. Bro I met God tonight for real. I feel like I just got saved by Jesus no lie.”
