Even off the court, Venus Williams is living her best life and feeling ‘amazing.’ The 44-year-old American tennis legend has no intention of retiring just yet, keeping her competitive spirit alive.

However, away from tennis, Venus Williams recently shared how she has her priorities in place, focusing on enjoying life beyond the sport.

Venus Williams, in an October 15 interview with the CBS Mornings, told that she is feeling “amazing.” The host, intrigued by her response, inquired as to what was influencing her optimistic perspective.

Williams’ revelation that she’s putting her own needs first and enjoying life outside of the tennis court will make her fans thrilled. “You know, taking care of myself—that’s so important….”

 

She continued, “I think we were talking before like how how busy we are. But taking those moments to just breathe, take care of yourself. Whether that’s moving, how you think, how you eat? So that’s like what I’m prioritizing these days.”

 

On the other hand, Venus stated in an earlier interview that she had never ventured into the world of life outside of tennis and that it had been “a big learning experience” that had made her reflect on her weaknesses. Moreover, she discussed her newfound attitude to balance after reflecting on her journey, stating,

“That’s how I came up with [the idea] that, OK, I’ve got to find a moment in every day for some kind of balance, instead of waiting for this elusive moment somewhere off in the future that’s quite foggy. Well, guess what? You don’t have to wait. You can find it today.” Her remarks emphasize how crucial it is to live purposefully.

Venus Williams is a savvy businesswoman who adeptly balances a number of responsibilities when she’s not passing the ball on the court.

She oversees Happy Viking, her own line of plant-based protein shakes. Moreover, drawn by her lifelong passion for the arts and a growing fascination with technology, Venus embarked on a new design adventure by co-founding Palazzo.ai, in February this year.

Not only that, Williams also demonstrated her versatility in June when she walked at the Vogue World show in Paris, wearing a custom outfit, channeling her inner model. But a few days ago, the seven-time Grand Slam champion dispelled speculations about her retirement.

Venus Williams has had an extremely difficult few years due to her injuries, which included a serious setback when she hurt her knee at Wimbledon last year.

Williams sustained a fall on the grass court while executing a backhand volley during her first-round defeat to Elina Svitolina.

 

Nevertheless, she underlined that she has not given up on tennis in a recent interview with Irish News, saying, “I’m not done with the racket yet. At this point, it’s about picking and choosing places I want to be. Last year, I really wanted to play in Miami—home—because I hadn’t played there in like five years.”

On the other hand, Venus Williams is currently promoting Strive: 8 Steps to Train for Success, her latest book, which was motivated by her quest to improve well-being and happiness.

Her personal path since receiving an autoimmune disease, Sjögren’s Syndrome, diagnosis in 2011, is the source of this inspiration; the illness has influenced her outlook on perseverance and wellness.
