The Philadelphia Eagles and fans won’t have to stress too much over Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson’s injury that silenced Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.

What looked a lot more serious when Dickerson went down during the Eagles’ public training camp practice ended up being a meniscus injury that will require only minor surgery.

It will also keep him sidelined on a week-to-week basis.

A timeline on Dickerson’s return is still up in the air, but the goal is for him to heal just in time for the Eagles’ Week 1 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 4.

And according to what quarterback Jalen Hurts told reporters following Wednesday’s training camp practice, that’s totally doable.

“For Landon, nothing’s ever too serious,” Hurts told reporters on Wednesday. “He’s one that’s always playing through something and has a great competitive spirit, has an edge to overcome some of those nicks that come up. Always good to hear that he’s in a good place.”

In the meantime, the Eagles have leaned on versatile backup Brett Toth to take first-team reps in Dickerson’s place.

Toth has been back and forth with Philly since 2019, but he has never played a major role, only seeing action during a few Eagles blowout games.

That could all change pending how quickly Dickerson is back and if Toth can do well filling his shoes over the next few days.

It also helps that offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo is confident in him.

“He’s a really smart individual, really good with the details of the game. He understands a lot of positions, which is great to have a guy like that that can line up in multiple spots and be able to step in if something happens,” Patullo said. “So I think that’s the biggest thing he brings, and I think he’s been in the system for a while. He understands what we want to do and the way Stout teaches it, which is really important. So the details of it feel very natural when he’s next to the other guys.”
