Taylor Swift arrives at the 67th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, in Los Angeles.

On Monday evening, the pop superstar’s website was updated with a countdown to 12:12 a.m. on August 12, hours after rumors about the possible music announcement swelled when Taylor Nation, the singer’s marketing and public relations team, posted 12 photos of the “Midnights” singer donning orange outfits from her Eras Tour.

Swift’s newest album would be her 12th.

“Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…” the caption read along with a burning heart emoji.

Though the caption may seem cryptic, Swift is known for dropping easter eggs and hints for her fans. The post also comes just as Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast teased a special guest on this week’s episode.

“92%ers, we’re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest
New episode Wednesday 7PM ET,” the caption read.

The post featured an orange background with Travis, Jason and a mysterious silhouette that many speculated was Swift. The podcast later

ast later confirmed in another teaser that she is, in fact, the mystery guest.

The new episode of the podcast is set to be released on Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. ET. The 13th coincides with Swift’s favorite number, which she often incorporates into her easter eggs.

Eagle-eyed fans further connected the rumors after seeing that Jason’s shirt in the podcast thumbnail teaser appears to be an Eras Tour sweatshirt.

The speculation comes a few months after Swift regained full control of her music catalog.

In May, the global super star announced she was once again the owner of her master’s recordings, music videos, concert films, album art, photography and unreleased songs. The deal, made with Shamrock Capital, marked the end of a years-long battle over the rights to many of her early albums.

Swifties have been anxiously waiting for the pop star to release “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” and her 2006 self-titled debut for some time. This October will mark two years since she last dropped a “Taylor’s Version” album.

Last time Taylor surprised fans with new music was during the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she announced “The Tortured Poets Department” as she was accepting the Grammy for best pop vocal album.
