Jeopardy! Super-Champion Scott Riccardi Sweeps His 12th Consecutive Win
Scott Riccardi is now a 12-game Jeopardy! super-champion with a total of $312,501 in winnings, following his latest victory on Friday.
Scott won Friday’s game against Julia Broussard and Ameen Ismail in a runaway, marking his third consecutive runaway this week and fourth overall.
“It sounds completely made up,” Scott said of his winning streak. “I really have experienced every type of game…It’s been a good variety.”
With each win, Scott inches closer to ranking on the Leaderboard of Legends. Only 13 other super-champs have won more games than him.
“That is a smaller number than I was expecting,” Scott said. “I don’t really feel like a legend, so it’s weird to hear that.”
On Thursday, Scott delivered a record-breaking 39 correct responses—the most in a single game this season.
“That was just all rhythm,” said of his impressive performance. “Almost like a drum-like thing going on where every time I could just feel exactly where it [the game] needed to go.”
Now, Scott has his sights set on a new goal—to finish the season strong and “be the [reigning] champion for the whole summer.” Only G.O.A.T. Ken Jennings and 38-game super-champ Matt Amodio have accomplished this feat.
“That would be an experience only shared by two other people,” Scott said. “It would be rarified air almost.”
With five games left in the season, it remains to be seen whether Scott can keep his hot streak alive. Tune in on Monday to find out.
